Lamb

Lamb (Look after my bills) is a new, automated energy switching service service with the potential to save individual households hundreds of pounds annually.

As the lead designer on the project my roles were to research the market, wireframe and prototype conversion focused responsive designs (influenced by existing data for a similar service), iconography, illustrations and final designs.

Addressing addresses

Most energy comparison/supplier websites ask the customer to supply total duration of time at address in years and months, however as an average UK buyer is expected to stay in a home 13 years, most users do not have this accuracy of data. As a result this question has the potential to cause customer drop-offs, incorrect data or just bad user experience. We needed a better way.

Researching into the problem, we discovered that the customer only needed to provide previous address history for 3 years, this meant we could change the format of the question and remove unnecessary friction from the process

If the customer hadn't lived at this address for more than 3 years, we could revert back to the standard question format

Each subsequent address would be handled in the same mannor, accumulatively 'totting up' the duration until 3 years of address history were accounted for
